In addition to being one of the oldest paid survey sites ever to grace the internet, MySurvey also claims to be the world’s Number 1 Paid Survey Site and boasts of having more than 4 million members in 40 markets across the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific. Initially a website to collect family opinions, MySurvey is now owned by Lightspeed, an established market research agency and is used to help companies instead.
Aside from offering paid surveys, this site also provides its regulars with other earning options such as product testing, along with over 60 different types of payout options. Best yet, the site is suitable for teens (aged 14 and above) who are looking to earn some cash on the side as well.
Signing up is as easy as 1-2-3, and of course, it’s free as well. Registration usually takes up to 5 minutes since the site does need to ask you add in a couple of personal information and details just so they can immediately start grouping up the most relevant surveys and send them to you. However, do note that MySurvey is region-based. So, make sure to sign up for the right version of the site or your application will be rejected.
MySurvey is primarily a paid survey site that offers points and sometimes, cash, in exchange for the surveys you complete. The points you accumulate can eventually be exchanged for the many rewards listed in the site’s reward catalog.
The site does offer some product tests from time to time, which has a unique “online usage diary” system which helps participants record the frequency and quantity of usage for the products or services they are testing. MySurvey also often organize exciting contests and sweepstakes for its community.
Most users of the site reported that the surveys available are mostly quite fun to do can take from between 10 to 45 minutes, with the shorter duration paying less. On average, you can earn approximately $0.50 to $1.25 per survey, but if you’re lucky, you may even get a 20-minute survey that pays out a whopping fiver ($5)! However, if points are given out instead, then shorter surveys of 10 to 20 minutes would on average give you 30 to 50 points, while longer surveys of 30 to 45 minutes would give you 150 to 300 points.
MySurvey is even quite generous in the sense that even if you don’t qualify for a survey, you might be given a free draw for that day’s sweepstakes. Members often get free sweepstake tickets simply by logging in daily.
Another great point about doing surveys on this site is the fact that many of its surveys are conducted and organized by the site itself. This also means that you can actually view the results of the surveys you’ve participated in.
That being said, many users of the site have complained that the number of surveys available on MySurvey has been on a slippery decline. They used to get 8 to 10 surveys per month, but now they’d be lucky to get 1 or 2. Not to mention, the site seems to have a hidden "loyalty program" where users who don’t log-in regularly enough will stop receiving survey invites.
MySurvey is possibly the only site that offers over 60 different types of gift card and e-certificate options in addition to providing cash payouts via Paypal and also product rewards (only for product testers). The site only requires you to reach a minimum payout amount of $10 (or points worth $10), but considering that you won’t have a lot of surveys to do, getting this this milestone can be tougher than you think.
Having said that, if you do manage to reach the minimum payout limit, you can get your reward/s usually within 4 to 8 weeks. This is a rather long duration but none of its users have ever complained about not receiving their payouts. Better late than never, right? Oh, but if you’re lucky, some users have reported receiving their Amazon e-certificate within days of redeeming it.
Members of MySurvey can also earn some bonus reward points simply by referring friends. You can do so by entering your friends’ email addresses into the referral program section of the page and the site will send out the invitation emails for you. You’ll get 150 points per friend who signed up.
However, do take note that MySurvey checks for fraudulent referrals via the IP address of your connected device. This also means that it is impossible for a single household to have multiple MySurvey accounts even if it truly is for different members within that said household if they are using a fixed IP.
MySurvey may be a great paid survey site, but it seems to have fallen a bit back in recent times. A number of its regional sites have been shut down and many of its remaining regulars are complaining about the lack of surveys to do. However, if you’re in this just to get a bit of cash on the side, MySurvey can be an excellent place to do that. It has a good track record of delivering on its rewards, albeit the delays, and due to the lower age limit, teens can try earning some extra cash on this site too.
